Wow.

In celebration of Robert Moog’s 78th birthday, Google has created an epic Google Doodle to honor the electronic music pioneer. The Doodle, which was first featured on Google’s Australia landing page, presents an interactive Moog synthesizer.

Users can adjust dials on the synthesizer, turn switches on and off and play sounds on the keyboard. You can also record and playback your creations — even layering multiple tracks over each other

But why stop in the browser. Why don't we record these sounds and create our own samples from it? Here's how to get started!

How Do I Record the Sounds off Google's Moog Doodle in Ableton Live/Audacity/Garageband/Etc...On To My Computer?

MAC USERS:

Follow the Instructions to getting it working on your computer!

To get the Google Moog Doodle to record in Ableton Live

1) Set your Audio Input device to 'SoundFlower'
    (you might need to also configure the inputs, make sure they are all yellow)
2) Set your Audio Output to your normal sound card output.
3) Create a New Track, and set the audio input to Ext In, 1+2
4) HIT RECORD! :)

For Garageband/Logic follow similar instructions.
Audio Input settings > SoundFlower
Set Track to receive audio from this source
Record!
